We operate Channel Crossing Safety Boat to escort unusual trips across the English Channel by your chosen means. We are based in Rye Harbour only 6 miles from the best crossing route from Dungeness in Sussex to Wimereux in France. The distance between France and the UK at this point is only 22 Nautical miles. Some recent channel crossings using our safety boat escorting service include:

The best route can be seen on the map below. We can run from Folkestone or Dungeness We tend to avoid Dover as there are ferries crossing the shipping lanes which makes for very busy times.
